Sune Linder

Prof. em. Sune Linder got his PhD in plant physiology in 1972 at Umeå University, Sweden. He was professor in Forest Ecology at the Faculty of Forest Sciences, Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, for 25 years until his retirement in 2010. His main research interests are forest ecophysiology with special emphasis on carbon and nutrient dynamics and the likely impacts of climate change on structure and function of forest ecosystems. He is honorary doctor at the University of Eastern Finland and fellow of the Royal Swedish Academy of Agriculture and Forestry and the Royal Scientific Society in Uppsala. He has published more than 100 scientific papers in international peer-reviewed journals.
