Seija Tuulentie

Dr. Seija Tuulentie is a senior researcher at the Natural Resources Institute Finland. She is a social scientist who acts as an adjunct professor of environmental sociology in the University of Lapland. She has got a Master’s degree in sociology at the University of Tampere and PhD in sociology at the University of Lapland.  Her dissertation dealt with the rights of the indigenous Sámi people. Her current interests are in nature-based tourism and reconciliation of different land-use modes in rural regions. She has published about 90 scientific articles and supervised several doctoral theses’.
